General
A complete, browser-based Computer-Aided Dispatch platform for FiveM roleplay communities, paired with LUX Radio — an integrated voice layer that works both in a browser and in-game. One system runs your entire emergency-services roleplay: dispatch, police, SAFR, civilians and the player-run businesses around them, all kept in sync in real time. See the full feature list.
Live. Communities run full shifts on LUX today — dispatch, radio, 911 calls, pursuits, records, the lot. The pilot phase is over.
Two things. First, scope: the radio, the phone, in-game 911 and 311, the civilian portal, documents and player-run services are all part of the same system rather than separate tools you glue together. Second, fewer clicks and no clutter — a real-time interface where every panel updates the moment something changes, on a second monitor or on an in-game tablet.
No. LUX is an independent, fan-made tool built for the GTA roleplay community. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, or the GTA franchise in any way.
The CAD is a full web application, so dispatchers can work in a browser. The server package that adds live positions, GPS routing, in-game radio, 911/311, plate scanning and the in-game tablet currently supports FiveM only. Ask in our Discord if you'd like to see other platforms prioritised.
Setup & installation
Request it in our Discord. We open your community with a 14-day trial, and your ready-to-install server package is waiting in your admin dashboard. From there you connect through Discord, set it up and play. If you'd rather ask questions first, Discord is also the fastest route to a human.
No. There is no registration form, no email to verify and no password to choose — for you or for your players. Sign-in is Discord, and membership is read live from your Discord server: right role, access; leave the server, access is gone.
Four steps: request LUX in Discord, sign in with Discord, download your server package from the admin dashboard and install it, then set up your community and play. Full step-by-step instructions are in the documentation.
No coding required. You are handed a single server package that is already built for your community, together with your key — unzip it into your resources folder, add one ensure line to your server.cfg, and restart. If you can install any other FiveM resource, you're covered.
The browser CAD works on its own once you connect through Discord, but the server package you are given is where a lot of the value lives: live unit positions, in-game GPS routing, the in-game radio, 911 and 311 calls, plate scanning, traffic stops, panic alarms and the in-game tablet all come from it. We'd recommend installing it.
No. In game, open LUX with /cad or your Open CAD key: that opens the in-game tablet, which is built to run inside the game. An in-game browser, including a browser app on an in-game phone, won't run LUX properly and will cause performance issues. A normal browser outside the game, on your desktop or a second screen, is fine.
Yes. We support moving an existing community over to LUX. Tell us in Discord what you're moving and we'll help you plan it.
Features
Every on-duty unit appears as a live marker, colour-coded by status, updating the moment they move in-game. Calls get their own markers with lines drawn to the units assigned to them. Assign a unit and a GPS route is drawn straight to the scene on their in-game mini-map, then cleared on arrival. Locations resolve to the nearest postal, and you can upload your community's own postal list to replace the built-in set.
Actual voice. LUX Radio works in the browser and in-game with push-to-talk on a rebindable key, scanner mode for monitoring several channels at once, per-channel and per-person volume, optional radio voice effects and PTT beeps. The unit that's keying up lights up across the dispatch screens and on the call they're assigned to.
Yes — by voice, from in-game, to a real dispatcher, with push-to-talk both ways. If no dispatcher is on duty, the call still lands in the queue as a regular call. There's a separate 311 line for non-emergencies so the 911 queue stays clean.
Yes. Run LUX's own phone system, or point it at LB Phone or NPWD and let that system own the numbers while LUX handles 911/311 dial-in. Either way characters get a number, a directory to call from, and in-game ringing.
Fully, and from the dashboard — nothing is hardcoded. Custom agencies, sub-departments and special unit types; your own status codes with labels, colours and department scoping; incident types with their own routing and map icons; a standard penal code pack of 140+ offences or your own import; plus hospitals, pursuit timers, radio channels, dispatch tones, document templates and civilian-service settings.
Their own portal: multiple characters with vehicles, licences and a medical ID that SAFR reads on scene; a document wallet drawn as real cards — including forged papers only the owner knows are fake — that they present to an officer in-game; their own judicial file with every report, citation and warrant filed against them; and access to player-run services like tow, taxi, mechanic, lawyer and news.
Yes — the exact same CAD opens on an in-game tablet with /cad or the Open CAD keybind, with no separate login, and it remembers where you left off within a session. Don't open LUX in an in-game browser: it won't work properly and will cause performance issues. The interface reflows from that tablet up to a 4K second monitor without a separate mobile build, so a browser on your real phone works too.
They're built and running — a video wall in dispatch, feeds you can pop out at full quality, and camera previews on the map. Bodycams are switched on for every community by default. A player's camera streams nothing while nobody is watching it.
We ship updates continuously, and our Discord is where we announce what's next. Everything on the features page is live today — including the help centre, which is live now.
Billing
Yes. Your first network gets 14 days free with the entire product unlocked (one trial per Discord account), and we don't ask for a card or any other payment detail to start it. Nothing converts automatically at the end, because there is no payment method on file to charge. Ask for your trial in Discord.
Ask us. Open a support ticket in our Discord and tell us what you're working through — a migration, a launch date that slipped, a community mid-rebuild. We read every one and we have said yes before, but it is a conversation, not a button.
Subscribe from your admin dashboard under Billing and nothing changes — your community carries on with everything in it. Do nothing and the network pauses: nothing is charged and nothing is deleted. Your network is kept for 12 months, so you can pick it up again within that time.
$20 a month per network, excluding VAT — one monthly subscription with every feature included and nothing metered inside it. A network is your live environment plus a development environment, both on the same Discord server. The full breakdown is on the pricing page.
No. We don't count staff, characters, agencies, incidents or reports, and we're not planning a per-seat model. Add every agency and every officer your server actually has.
US dollars. Prices exclude VAT and local sales tax; where tax applies to you it is added at checkout, and the checkout shows you the final amount before you pay.
Polar acts as our reseller and merchant of record — the seller in the transaction. It takes the payment, handles VAT and sales tax for your country, and issues the invoice. We never see or store your card details.
Yes. Open Billing in your admin dashboard and use Manage or cancel — two clicks, no e-mail, no notice period. Your community keeps running until the end of the period you've already paid for. Nothing is deleted then; the network is kept for 12 months after the subscription ends. During the free trial there is nothing to cancel at all — no payment method was ever taken. The refund terms are in section 9 of our Terms of Service.
Two subscriptions. A network is tied to one Discord server, and a second FiveM server is a second network with its own records, roles and configuration.
No, and you cannot. The connector resources are supplied free with your subscription and generated for you in the admin dashboard, already configured. They are not sold, here or anywhere else.
Not at the moment. Monthly only, cancellable at any time. An annual option is something we may add later.
The payment provider retries on its own schedule over the following days, your community keeps running throughout, and you will see a warning in the CAD. Only if those retries are exhausted is the network suspended — and even then the Billing page stays open so you can fix it.
$20 is a beta price — the first pricing LUX has ever had. If it ever changes you get 30 days' notice before the new price takes effect, and you are free to cancel before then. We will not move you onto a higher rate quietly at renewal.
E-mail support@lux-cad.com or open a ticket on our Discord — Discord is the fastest route; e-mail reaches the same people, at a slower pace.
Account & data
All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS), there are no passwords for anyone to steal because sign-in is Discord, and every community's records are isolated from other communities in the database. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Whatever your Discord roles say. Access is enforced per department, admin rights are handed out through a Discord role rather than a shared owner account, and privacy-sensitive flows are scoped deliberately — a lawyer only sees a client's legal file with that client's consent, and the real identity behind a civilian service is never exposed publicly.
Yes, at any time. Your account and sessions are removed and your characters are detached from you. Reports others wrote about your characters stay with the community, with nothing pointing back to you. If you used a free trial we keep your Discord ID and the trial date, so a trial can't be claimed twice. Details are in our Privacy Policy. Reach us at support@lux-cad.com or in Discord.
No. We never sell personal data and we don't use it for third-party advertising. Data is only shared with the service providers strictly needed to run LUX. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
Position data is only used to render the live map and GPS routing in real time — it's never written to a database. Radio, 911 and phone voice is carried live and not recorded on our servers. A dispatcher's own browser keeps the last 50 radio transmissions for replay, on that device only. A 48-hour radio archive on our servers is planned; we will announce it before it goes live. Bodycam feeds only stream while someone is actually watching them. What's stored is the roleplay record your community creates on purpose: incidents, reports, characters, vehicles and warrants.

The handbook covers every screen in the CAD, role by role. If it isn't in there, our team usually replies within a few hours on Discord.
